What his girlfriend said
“It is with the heaviest heart that I share the devastating news that Liam passed away following a motorcycle accident on October 30th at approximately 2 AM,” Rinaldi wrote, Newsweek reported.
She added that he suffered severe injuries and that those who tried to save him could not bring him back, People reported. She asked followers to give his loved ones “grace, love, and privacy.”
What his family said
His family posted a statement on his Instagram on Nov. 1, calling him a “shining light.” “He had just turned 29,” they wrote. “So many places to see, memories to make, and people to love.”
They also chose to share something personal. “Liam had his own struggles, too. He battled with alcohol on and off and knew it was hurting him,” the statement said, according to People. “This is shared in the hope that his story reaches someone who needs it.”
Neither the family nor any report we reviewed has connected that struggle to the crash.
